Finally! We’ve hit the final gig/event of May! (From what I could remember for the most part…and out of chronological order too)
I admit I’ve pretty much omitted quite a lot of mini outings/events I have attended during my exam period.
The most notable is a Tom Misch, Barney the Artist & Poppy Adjudha guest appearing in my local Ghost Notes in Peckham joining the regulars of Spaces in Between.
This is actually my third Mabel gig, I forgot to write up about her great show at Heaven where I also got to see the amazing Mahalia as a supporting act. I saw other great female up-coming artist Grace Carter on this night.
Grace Carter had just appeared on A COLORS SHOW just two months prior. Now, she was on stage singing all of her Saving Grace EP and newer songs that have yet to be released – executing every fragile emotion each song captured.
Mabel stepped on stage with the sound of girls screaming as she opens with Thinking of You which was one the first songs that got people on the Mabel Train (myself ). By far my favourite song is still Talk About Forever which was the followed by her mixtape Ivy to Roses.
She perfectly intertwine RnB classic vibes with her own talented twist.
NOT3S hopped on the stage to wrap the night off with My Lover.
The British music scene is definitely a great thing to watch and grow.
So many variables caused a lil hiccup to posting this…
I’ve brought shame to my family
