I bet no one noticed I had yet another break (no less a three week one).
Regardless, I will be taking breaks I think I deserve, don’t want to exhuast all my content and energy like when I released four post in one day… Never again.
Plus, I just finished ALL the Marvel Netflix series – a summer goal of mine.
Truth be to told I could have explored the studio beforehand but laziness just kept me away…
I for one not only LOVE free events but when two of your current favourite artists are performing. Sign me up!
We knew that Mura Masa and Charli XCX was on the lineup. The house DJ spun a few bangers such as 3 Of A-Kind – Babycakes and Justin Timberlake – Señorita getting the crowd to the dancing mood.
To our surprise they threw in upcoming rapstress Stefflon-Don to start the night with a bang. Spicing up the end of her by inviting audience for a mini-rave on stage. Go ahead and listen to her popular track with French Montana. Hurtin’ Me.
Next up was electronic-fusion music maestro, Mura Masa, starting on SoundCloud as a bedroom artist to working with big names such as A$AP Rocky and Stromzy. I’ve loved his work since 2015 after listening to .. Girl.
Mura Masa arguable has one of the most distinct sounds in modern music. No wonder her has amassed quite the following.
Before chart-topper Charli XCX stepped on stage her bandmate Esther Joy span a few dance-worth tunes and hearts *my instant girl crush*.
Charli then bounced on stage and opened with Boom Clap.
I’ve seen Charli before at last year’s KISS Haunted House Party and she still had the impact and energy to pump up the crowd as the first time I saw her. We all loved her.
Just watch the video below:
I fell in love three times that night.
The first one was Mura Masa’s female companion was singing to me at the 2:00 minute mark (I just melted…)
Second was Esther Joy – I’m a sucker for androgynous people even though she was behind the decks I was glancing at her ever so often.
The last being Charli XCX, nuff said.
London does not want me to sleep…
