Hi there! You probably have never read anything I have written as this is the first time I have written anything for my good friend, Salve.
A few things to know about me:
- I love my fashion (I’m studying it right now)
- I love a good bit of gaming here and there
- I love my musicals (I’m gay of course I do)
- I’m crass
- And I love a good night out
I will write some articles for Snatched Out of Reality Live In Three in the coming future so expect more.
Now back to the main subject. When I plan to go to a beach I plan to go to enjoy some sunshine, to tan, to relax, to generally have fun. Now when I think of going to the beach I think of going hours out of London to get to a presentable beach (no Brighton is not good enough). But actually having a beach in London? The moment I was invited to the press launch of this new social area I was skeptical. I didn’t know what to think.
Walking past this venue quite a few times was a headache. But then again I can be blind as a bat sometimes because there was a huge sign saying Brixton Beach right outside the entrance. I tell them my name and head upstairs to this absolutely beautiful terrace rooftop.
Now after having quite a few drinks I was pretty out of it but I was having fun. I had the opportunity to relax in actual sand (OMG) and just chat with my friends. I was given the opportunity to have some of the most amazing food I have ever experienced cooked by masterchef winner Tim Anderson. The food and cocktail bar named NanBan just had the most delicious food I had ever tasted (not as good as my mum’s cooking though).
On this terrace there are 4 bars to buy different drinks from and 3 food bars. There is also a club. Now I couldn’t stay for the club to open because I was very drunk, but from being able to have a look inside I would say that it has a lot of chance to do well here. Brixton Beach has long way to go in terms of publicity. But I say, I will be coming back.
Ps Don’t wear heels here because it’s not fun. I was dying inside from regret and pain.
I give this venue a rating of 8 out of 10 rainbows!
See you soon bitches
