House of Vans X Moody & IPF

Anyway, I decided that I deserved a break from the confines of revising at home (no matter how little I’ve done).

Truth be told, I was invited to the reopening of the House Of Vans jointly with the launch of IPF: Independent Photography Festival exhibition on 4th May. However, luck was not on my side as I had an exam the next morning – a priority above sleep and the opening night.

Photos are still floating about no worries…

So when I was invited to a night hosted by Moody, acclaimed promoters, record label and the team behind Uva: Festival of Music and Visual Arts. I was definitely going to come.

Uva 2017

The House of Vans was a brilliant venue for the varied line-up of stars from across the house spectrum including Farley Jackmaster Funk and Soundstream. Importantly, this line-up is culturally and geographically diverse reflective of the open and welcoming atmosphere the House of Vans provide.

Room two included the Irish duo Brame & Hamo—famed for their warm vibes on labels like Heist and Dirt Crew.

It was a great night filled with creative musical energy…

Go rock that flute!

Floor projections on a skate ramp was perfect for those who wanted to relax from the excitable crowd. Don’t forget the free photobooth and IPF exhibition still chilling around Room 2.

All in all House of Vans never fail in providing an uplifting and fun atmosphere no matter the event. No matter the occasion it’s a venue I always find myself checking out whenever I head to Southbbank.

Open from Thursday to Sunday, grab a bite to eat from Waterloo Food Market walk through Banksy Tunnel and check out the exhibitions or grab a skateboard and hit the ramps or just watch (if you appreciate your life).

That’s you leisure time sorted.

I’m not going to attempt to skateboard until I’m capable in standing on one.
